The Cauterization Procedure

This procedure precisely removes the wart tissue, minimizing discomfort and aiming for permanent removal:

1. Numbing: The procedure is made painless with the use of numbing medication applied to the site.

2. Cauterization: The wart tissue is precisely removed or “burned.” While it is generally not possible for the same tissue to grow again from the treated area, a second procedure may be required for complex or recurring structures.

3. Postcare: Always keep the wounds clean and dry. Warm baths may help alleviate post-treatment itchiness or irritation.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

While wart removal is generally determined as a single session, a second procedure may be required, especially for complex or recurrent structures. This is fully determined by the condition of the tissues.

Does it Hurt? (Comfort & Downtime)

The procedure is painless due to the numbing medication. However, the site will feel tender for a couple of weeks, and you may need mild pain medication.

Small scabs will form over the treated wart. These will drop off by themselves in 5 to 7 days, leaving a small reddish mark. Complete healing may take 1 to 2 weeks. You can apply makeup after 24 hours.
