What is a Thread Lift?
A thread lift uses thin, dissolvable sutures (barbed threads) inserted beneath the skin to lift and sculpt the shape of the face or breasts. It provides a subtle impact ideal for those in their late 30s to early 50s just starting to notice signs of aging. It is also a safer, non-surgical alternative for those who cannot undergo a traditional facelift.
The procedure works in two ways:

The Thread Lift Procedure
This quick, minimally invasive procedure is completed during an office visit:
Preparation: Topical anesthetic and alcohol are applied to the skin.
Insertion: A thin needle or cannula is used to insert the threads underneath the skin. This insertion process typically takes 30 to 45 minutes.
Completion: The method of insertion is removed, and you may feel light pressure. You are then free to go home.
How Long Do Results Last?
Results from a thread lift are not permanent and typically last from 1 to 2 years. The dissolvable sutures are eventually absorbed by the tissue underneath the skin, making it a low-risk option. To maintain results, treatment can be repeated.
Does the Treatment Hurt? (Comfort & Downtime)
Discomfort is minimized with the use of topical anesthetic applied during the preparation phase. You may feel light pressure or tightening during the insertion process.
Recovery is minimal. While slight bruising and swelling are common, you can go back to work right away. To ensure success, you should avoid rubbing the face vigorously and avoid saunas or high-intensity workouts for the first week or so. You should also sleep with your head propped up for the initial weeks.
